Body in Mind Approach
I don’t recommend fad diets, gimmicks, or quick fixes. Rather, my nutrition program teaches you smart food choices, encourages mindful eating practices, and creates an individualized plan for behavior changes supporting healthy eating. I will work with you to identify behaviors that have contributed to your current concerns and create strategies to support your best health. By practicing these strategies, you can learn skills to develop healthier eating patterns that you can use throughout your life. My most successful clients are those who incorporate changes slowly and learn long-term techniques for managing their nutritional health.
The Vision
My vision is one of people being free of “dieting” and feeling overwhelmed and confused by nutritional rules and dogma. Through the powerful combination of health-supportive nutrition choices and body-centered mindful eating practices, people with a variety of needs, such as weight management, eating disorder recovery, improved sports performance, and medical nutritional therapy, will experience daily changes that support reaching their best health.

My Mission is to provide compassionate individualized nutritional guidance while incorporating the development of mindful and body-center eating behaviors, increasing the likelihood that the food choices and eating behaviors that you develop will last and support your best health.
The Method
Nutritional counseling and coaching is an investment in your health and yourself. A non-coercive approach is used, always being respectful of your individual needs. Changing eating and exercise habits is very difficult. Struggles with making these changes are used as learning tools, rather than failures. Developing an awareness of your individual needs and habits creates an opening for change. As you progress in making the recommended changes in your food choices, physical activity and eating behaviors, you will receive continued guidance and support. Your process of creating shifts in your eating and activity provide you with a personalized journey toward health. It is through this process of developing new practices, along with the information offered to you, that you will discover your best health.
